Surveillance of introduced species

Being an island continent, Australia is fortunate in not having many of the pests that damage our crops, our stock and our infrastructure. It also lacks some of the invasive species that are a threat to our biodiversity. These threats are constantly with us, meaning that we need good surveillance to ensure that non-indigenous species do not arrive and establish. We also need plans in order to respond if any of these organisms do arrive here.

BioMonitoring International has experience in designing and implementing surveillance programs and can install and service the sampling devices that are required to monitor for non-indigenous invertebrate species.
