Review of Biological sciences at University of Botswana
The University of Botswana in Gaberone invited Prof Jonathan Majer and Prof Francois Van Der Westhuizen from North-West University, Potchefstroom to undertake a five-year review of the operations of their Department of Biological Sciences. They were pleased to find a university with world-class facilities, dedicated staff and enthusiastic students. With programs in botany, zoology, ecology, cell biology and microbiology, the Department offers a comprehensive education. The reviewers were able to make a series of recommendations to improve the balance between teaching and research and to increase the outreach of the Department.
