Biomonitoring International Assists Rehabilitation Research in the WA Wheatbelt

We have recently completed the sorting and identification of invertebrates caught during the monitoring of fragments of Wheatbelt vegetation and the corridors that have been rehabilitated in order to reconnect them. In comparison with the number of vertebrates that were caught along a typical sampling transect, the diversity of invertebrates, and particularly ants, make them very favorable for use as bioindicators of how successful the rehabilitation has been.
